PLATFORM Q&As


What are the system requirements for the Leading Physician Well-being Certificate Program platform?  

You can access the Leading Physician Well-being Certificate Program on a PC running Windows 7+ or Mac running macOS 10.12+ through Chrome or Safari. You can also access via Android tablets and phones using Chrome and iPhones and iPads using Safari.  

You should also check your connection speed prior to using the platform and/or streaming player. You’ll need a minimum of 0.6 Mbps download speed, but we recommend at least 1 Mbps for streaming.

What steps can I take to help me have a wonderful experience throughout the Certificate Program?
  • Make sure your browser is up to date with the latest version. We recommend using Google Chrome. Download Chrome here

  • Make sure your camera and microphone have permission to be used. Check your browser and device settings.

  • Disable any large or privacy-related browser extensions or plug-ins.

  • Disconnect from any VPN.

  • Clear your cache, cookies and browsing data of all time or use a private/incognito browser window if you are experiencing any issues. 

  • Maximize your internet connection by connecting your computer by an ethernet cable directly from your internet router.  

  • If you must use Wi-Fi, use the 5GHz network and make sure you are 5-8 ft from your router. 

  • Close out other apps on your device that aren’t essential to your live stream. 

  • Disconnect other non-essential devices around your home (or office) that are connected to the internet: streaming devices, tablets, phones, video game systems, and/or smart TVs. 

  • For firewall issues: contact your company’s IT department about whitelisting https://aafp-lpw.tovuti.io.


How do I log in? 

We will send you a direct link to the platform via email. Log in by clicking "Sign-in using Salesforce". It will redirect you to the AAFP login portal. From here, fill in the email address registered to your AAFP account and password. Then click the log in button. If you are still having issues logging in, please email lpw@aafp.org.  


How do I change my password? 

If you want to change your password, you will need to do so from the AAFP website. For additional assistance, contact aafp@aafp.org.  


How do I set up my profile?  

Once you have the platform opened, you will see a circular avatar at the top right of the webpage. Click on the avatar. It will open a drop-down menu that includes the option to edit your profile. Click edit your profile and make sure you answer all required questions. You can continue to update your profile throughout the program by clicking on it in the top right of your screen.   


In what time zone are events displayed?  

Livestream and webinars events are displayed in the Central Time Zone.  


How do I connect with people individually?  

To connect with other people, go to the “Home Groups” page, from the left-side menu. Hover over the “Friends” tab from the top menu and click “Search.” Click “All Members” to view all participating scholars, faculty, and staff. Click on the user’s profile. You can either click “Send Message” or “Add as a Friend”. 


How can I see who is attending?  

Go to the “Home Groups” page, from the left-side menu. Hover over the “Friends” tab from the top menu and click “Search.” Click “All Members” to view all participating scholars, faculty, and staff. 


What’s on the platform? 

Become familiar with the site by clicking around the navigation bar at the left side of the page. If you end up somewhere you don’t want to be, click your browser’s back button. Check out these navigation landmarks to get started: 

  • HOME - Here you will find a Welcome message from the Chair, Dr. Jason Marker, the Community Feed, Latest News, and Upcoming Events. 
  • DASHBOARD - Your Learning Dashboard will provide you with all the necessary tools to keep you on track with where we are in the program. Checklists will be provided
  • COURSES - Your course work will coincide with the checklist found in your Learning Dashboard. 
  • EVENTS - All webinars and 3-day activity events will be posted here, livestream and in-person.
  • CALENDAR - A calendar view of all upcoming webinars and activities.
  • HOME GROUP - This page is like a Facebook feed. Use it to interact with fellow scholars and faculty. 
  • DISCUSSION - Check here for discussions on webinars, activities, resources, the Physician Health and Well-being Conference, and more.
  • FACULTY - A concise list of all the faculty in the program. Links to bios with photos will appear here. 
  • RESOURCES – Supplemental resources to enhance your learning.
  • CME - Go here to claim CME credit and evaluate past webinars and activities. 
  • FAQ - Where we will post frequently asked questions.
  • CONTACT - Need assistance? Reach out to the LPW staff by filling out the contact form.

I can't hear the session. What do I do?  

Note: All livestreams will be conducted on the WebEx streaming platform. A direct link to each livestream is provided in the Event Calendar. 

  • Check that your computer's sound is unmuted, and that the volume is turned up. 
  • Access your system preferences to make sure your audio output is selected to speakers or headphones. 

I can't see the session. What do I do? 

Note: All livestreams will be conducted on the WebEx streaming platform. A direct link to each livestream is provided in the Event Calendar. 

  • Try accessing the event from another computer, tablet, or phone. 
  • Try connecting to another network (WIFI or mobile hotspot). 
  • Check with your IT department to make sure you do not have a firewall blocking live video or disconnect from your company VPN.

How long will the Leading Physician Well-being meeting platform be live?

The available content will remain on this specific platform until December 31st, 2023.


How long does it take before a Livestream or webinar session will be available “On-Demand”?

Recorded sessions will be available within one week after the live date. Please note that this will not include our in-person sessions, but we will try to share applicable recorded sessions from the 2021 program. 


How do I access and download handouts?

Sessions that have additional resources and handouts will be provided on the Resources page for you to download. These resources will be added at least one week prior to the session date and will be available to download until December 31st, 2023. Please note, not all sessions will have downloadable resources. 


What are Home Groups and how do I access mine?

Home Groups are your small working groups for the Leading Physician Well-being certificate program. You will use this space to connect with fellow scholars, ask questions to your designated Faculty, and participate in discussion boards. Scholars will be placed in Home Groups for the January 31st launch.


How do I contact Faculty for assistance?

Faculty can be contacted through a variety of methods, and all are listed on the Faculty Speaker page. You can reach out via email, schedule 1:1 time from their Calendly link (starting April 4, 2022) or send them a direct message from the platform. 


Is there a dress code?

Please feel free to wear comfortable, but professional attire to the in-person (Activity A with Physician Health and Well-being conference and Activity C) sessions. The AAFP wants the live streaming experience to be enjoyable for all attending.  


How do I claim CME credit and evaluate the Leading Physician Well-being program?
